Portfolio — Visual Art
Drawing is not what I do — it is how I think. Each line is a question, each shadow an answer.
I am Durim — an artist working primarily in pencil, charcoal, and ink. My work explores the tension between structure and gesture, between what is seen and what is felt.
Every piece starts with observation: the way light falls on a surface, the weight of a pose, the character hidden in a face. I try to capture not just the subject, but the moment of noticing it.
Available for commissions, collaborations, and exhibitions.
Everything begins with looking — sometimes for minutes, sometimes for days. The subject must reveal itself before the hand moves.
Loose, fast marks to capture gesture and proportion. No commitment yet — just conversation between eye and hand.
Building up tone and detail gradually. Layer by layer, the image gains weight. Knowing when to stop is the hardest part.
At some point the drawing belongs to itself, not to me. I step back and let it be what it has become.
